2. Run Base and create a database.
Once you have installed LibreOffice, launch Base from your desktop. Every time you open Base, you will see the dialog box displayed above, asking if you want to start a new database or open an existing one. Select the Create new database radio button.
Base comes with a relational database management system called HSQLDB (HyperSQL Database Management System) ready to use and it is the default option.
HSQLDB is ideal for your first project, as it is simple and easy to work with. Make sure the HSQLDB Embedded option is selected from the list and click the Next> button.
Record and save the database. Base will ask if you want to register the database. Signing up simply allows you to access your database through other apps in the LibreOffice suite on your device, such as Calc and Writer. This function is local to your device – you don’t need to worry about anyone else accessing it.
Unless you are sure you will never want to access your new database using these other applications, it is safe to leave Yes, register the database for me specified.
Make sure “Open database for editing” is selected and click Finish. Base will prompt you to save the database as an ODF file. Choose a destination and name for it and click Save.
Create a table and assign a primary key The first thing you need to do with a new database is create a table. Tables are the most important part of a database, and you need at least one table to get anything done.
The default view when opening a database is the Tables section. Select Create Table in Design View… from the to-do list.
The Table Design dialog will open with several blank cells under the labels: Field Name, Field Type, and Description. This is where you will choose and name the fields you want in your table.
These are the different “categories” of data that you plan to enter into your database. For example, we are planning to create a database for our movie collection, so we’ll include fields like Title, Director, and ReleaseYear.
However, the first field to be created must be some type of unique identifier, such as a UPC number or code. This field will distinguish between each entry, even if all other fields have duplicate data. In our example, we named the first field MovieID and defined the Integer field [INTEGER] to make this field a simple number.
Whatever option you consider the meta field to, right-click on that row and select “Primary Key” in the dropdown menu. If you do not specify a field as the primary key, Base will throw an error when trying to save the table.
In our example, under Field Properties, we also set the Primary Key field’s AutoValue to Yes so that we don’t have to manually choose a new ID number every time we create an entry. With the AutoValue function, Base will automatically enter the next incremental number for each new entry.
Complete data fields. Keep adding as many fields as you need, and be sure to select the appropriate field types. For most basic uses, you’ll want to use the variable VARCHAR for text, INTEGER for numbers, and DATE for calendar dates.
If you already have data in a spreadsheet or .csv file that you plan to import into your database, it is very helpful while adding fields to make sure that your field names easily match the field names in the data file you want to retrieve. Be aware that fields you create can be rearranged when you initially create the table, but you cannot rearrange the fields after saving the table. However, this shouldn’t cause you any major problems, and you can still add and delete fields later.
Save your schedule first. Click the save button or press Ctrl + S to save your table, and Base prompts you to name your table. Pick any name you want (we chose the default, Table 1, in our example).
After saving the table, be sure to save the database file itself to ensure you don’t lose your work. ODF file should be saved any time you create or edit a table, query, form, or report.
If you ever need to modify the fields in the table, you must right-click the table and click Edit from the drop-down menu.
Data entry or import. Now that you have the table, it needs the data to feed it. There are several ways in which you can enter data into the database, but today we will look at how to manually enter it in the table view and how to import from another spreadsheet.
Manual entry Double-click on your table, or right-click and select Open. In the dialogue box, you will see all the fields you just created. Just like entering information in spreadsheet cells, you can create entries manually by entering one field for the data at a time.
When you reach the last field for an entry, press Tab to move to the next entry. Base will automatically save the data you entered, so you don’t have to click the save button every time you enter the data. Additionally, if you set the ID field to default, Base will automatically fill in the ID field for you when you move to the next entry.
Continue until you have entered all the data you want.
Import from a spreadsheet … If you have a spreadsheet that already contains the data you want to enter, you can easily import it into your table, although you must follow some rules. To import from a spreadsheet, you need to have a column for every field you have in the table, even if the field is set to default or you don’t have any data for it yet. In addition, data must be present in every row of every column that you import, whose destination is not set to default.
In our example, there is a column with almost the same name for every field in our table, and all rows are populated except for the rows in the ID field, which the database will automatically populate on import. Names do not need to match exactly, and columns do not need to be in the same order as database fields; You will have an opportunity to rearrange your data during import.
To start importing, mark all the data in the spreadsheet you want to import, including the labels for each column, and copy it with Ctrl + C.

What does DPI mean?
The term DPI stands for “Dots Per Inch”, and it defines the distance the cursor travels when moving the mouse. For a mouse, the “points” referred to by the term “DPI” primary are the pixels on your screen.
DPI is the scale used to measure a mouse’s sensitivity, expressed as the number of DPIs (points per linear inch) that the device can detect. By changing the DPI, you can instantly adjust the pointer speed for precision tasks, such as in-game targeting or image editing. The higher the number of DPIs plus the sensitivity of the mouse, the better the cursor speed. Some mouse models include dedicated buttons (buttons that are moved with DPI) that you can use to instantly adjust mouse sensitivity (DPI).
DPI of a mouse should not be confused with DPI of printing. While both are the same, the print “dots” refer to the ink droplets rather than the pixels.
So the DPI rating on a mouse is the number of pixels that the pointer moves when you move the mouse an inch across your desk. For example, if you set the mouse to 1200 dpi, the pointer will move 1200 pixels per inch of hand movement.
If you move this setting up to 2,400 pixels, the cursor will move twice with the same hand movement.

Which DPI setting should you use?
Unfortunately, there is no straight answer as to which DPI setting is best for you. There is no magic number to set your mouse to instantly get better in your games.
First, the resolution of your screen is very important. Remember how DPI moves the mouse pointer by a certain number of pixels per inch? This means that the mouse will look different if it is set to the same DPI but used with more precision. This is because there are more pixels.
For example, if you are using an 800 x 600 resolution (and if you do, I’m very sorry) then the mouse with a sensitivity of 800 goes from the far left to the far right of the screen in one inch of hand movement. Do the same at a resolution of 3840 x 2160, however, the same hand movement will only have you about 20% of the way across the screen.
As such, you can’t really say “X DPI is best for gaming”, because you need to take into account the screen resolution as well as the type of game you’re playing. It’s pretty much a setup on a case-by-case basis. In FPS games, some professional gamers prefer a very low DPI, which is around 400–800 DPI, while others prefer turning and maneuvering to aim smoothly.

What you can do, however, is purchase a mouse with a wide range of DPI points. This way, you have many options to navigate and find what is “right for you”. You can then go to the operating system or game’s mouse sensitivity options and better adjust them.

If your registry is affected enough to cause your computer to become unresponsive, you might need to reinstall Windows. You should never get to this point unless you make a mistake while editing it, after using a registry cleanup app, or after a malware infection.
5. Malicious software of any kind
Malware, the general term for viruses, spyware, worms, and other forms of infection, can wreak havoc on your system. Whether it’s an adware program that pumps ads into your browser causing it to freeze, or rootkits that steal system resources, malware can take over your computer and reduce performance.
Run a scan with the free version of Malwarebytes to see if you have any malware on your system. And in the future, make sure you know how to avoid catching the virus so it doesn’t happen again.
6. Running multiple anti-virus tools
Fortunately, Windows 10 comes bundled with Windows Defender, which is a good antivirus solution for most users. However, if you choose to use any other option, you must ensure that it does not end up causing performance issues with Windows.
Why is Windows unresponsive? The most common causes
Often times running multiple antivirus applications cause them to conflict with each other causing noticeably slowing down. If you want a second opinion, use a dedicated on-demand app like the aforementioned Malwarebytes occasionally.

4. Direct reply in IMESSAGE groups
